Just like people, puppies can get sick. Proper medical care helps prevent illness and ensures they grow strong and healthy. We ethically source our puppies from trusted animal husbandry specialists. These professionals are committed to their puppies’ health and well-being. Before, during, and after puppies are in our care, we closely monitor their medical needs. ##### Veterinary Supervision & Puppy Wellness A certified veterinarian oversees our puppies’ medical care. Each puppy receives several required physical exams, medications, and vaccinations. We keep detailed records of every medical service. You’ll receive this information in your take-home [Puppy Package](/puppy-package/) . Our puppies stay in a comfortable kennel, where trained technicians provide hygiene, grooming, and playtime. ##### Comprehensive Puppy Health Care Within four business days of bringing your puppy home, we offer a complimentary physical exam. A certified veterinarian at [Potomac Valley Vet Hospital](https://potomacvalleyvets.com/) will check your puppy’s health. During the visit, they’ll discuss any concerns and explain routine **puppy health care**. You’ll also get guidance on vaccinations, spaying, neutering, and pet insurance. If you’re searching for a veterinary provider, we can help. ##### The Importance of Spaying & Neutering Pet homelessness is a serious issue. We encourage customers to spay and neuter their puppies to help reduce the number of stray animals. If you need assistance finding a reputable veterinarian, please let us know. They gave us a good amount of time to get to know a puppy, but we had another puppy in mind too. They did a great job with handling customers. The staff quickly wanted to know the purpose and how serious we were on buying before they gave out a second puppy, which I understand. However, we were interested but this also turned us off. The puppies were individually confined which is not great environmentally and socially for them. (My opinion, but to each their own.) Otherwise, it was not bad of an experience. I will come back. Just things to consider. We will keep them in mind for a specific breed only. We had an equally great experience the second time around, and happy to find another perfect match.
