Edit in Response to Owner: I have never purchased from your store, nor would I ever. However, I did visit this location and felt compelled to research your sourcing practices before advising my friend, who was looking for a puppy. Before writing this review, I thoroughly investigated where your puppies come from. It’s not difficult to find this information when breeder names are posted on the wall across from the register. While Pinnacle is just one of your sources, they are a broker with a history of controversy and ties to notorious puppy mills, their involvement is concerning. As a business who claims to get puppies from responsible breeders, a simple search will confirm this is falseOriginal Review: Do your research! XO Pups claims to work with “great breeders,” but if you actually look into their sources, many are wholesalers and brokers—not responsible, ethical breeders. One of their so-called “great breeders,” Pinnacle Pets (now rebranded as Puppy Travelers), has a history of USDA citations, including a tragic 2015 incident where nine puppies died after being left in a hot truck. In 2018, they were cited again for failing to provide proper veterinary care to a sick puppy. These are not the kind of breeders a responsible business should be working with. If you care about where your puppy comes from, look elsewhere!!!.

Such a great experience. The establishment is nice and clean which I love. The staff was very helpful and didn’t rush us when spending time with the puppies. There was no pressure to buy but my daughter and I fell in love with one. She is worth it and came with a complete kit with everything she needs to come home plus health warranties. Got my baby from there last week. I love how the booking and play time went and the attendant attention and patience to answer all my questions which were many. They for sure helped me to make the best decision for my family and life style. The process to take Ollie home was easy and very well explained. New puppy has giardia.I understand that about 40 percent of puppies contract giardia at some point. But considering that I paid over 4000 dollars for this baby, I expected her to be in pristine health.Although XOpups covered the cost of the treatment, administering the medicine is a challenge. And I have to force her to take liquid medicine for a week. I have to make multiple additional vet visits too (had to pick up meds and return for retesting).The boxes the puppies are stored in are extremely small and they should really consider enlarging them & maintaining better hygiene. Even my sister’s rescue puppy from a shelter didn’t have giardia

Friendly staff. You get a chance to play with one puppy if you really like like one. Which we did and it was so great. Felt bad for the puppies since they are caged in a small space all day long, sleep, pee, poop, eat, and play. Price for puppies were ridiculously expensive.

I was surprised to learn that puppy stores like this exist! I visited over the weekend and was excited to see that customers could interact with the puppies. The store was quite busy, which is expected on a weekend, but the young lady at the front desk was very kind and welcoming. She let me know I could play with a puppy but wasn’t sure how long the wait would be. Despite the crowd, it was a fun and enjoyable experience!

I took my toddler son a few days ago to XO Pups in hopes he would have a companion to grow up with. When I arrived the woman working said she was busy w/ a few clients and that we may need to wait. When I asked how long she replied she wasn’t sure. All good! We can wait. Two of the groups playing with puppies left so I asked her again at that time if she could let us see one of the puppies. She replied rudely “Not right now I’m busy you should come back Monday to Thursday”.Well, we live about 45 minutes away and it would be tough to come back on a weekday so we decided to wait. When I saw her free up about 30 minutes later, I asked nicely if she knew how much longer it could possibly be until she had time for us and she replied “I’m busy with a sale and can’t assist you nor do I know when I will be available”. That’s pretty rude, felt discriminated against because she was so polite to a white family just next to us.Needless to say we left at that moment and will never come back. I hope no other customers receive this kind of service from this establishment and also hope the owner corrects this behavior.

I visited this business on Saturday around 5 PM, intending to see and potentially play with some puppies. Upon arrival, we noticed there were three groups ahead of us, so we approached a staff member to ask if appointments were required. Her response, delivered in an unprofessional and condescending tone, was, “Right now, I have three teams, and THEY ARE MY PRIORITY. I don’t know how long it’s going to take—just come back Monday through Thursday when there’s less foot traffic,” before walking away.Despite the unwelcoming attitude, we decided to wait. After over an hour, one team finished their transaction and left the play area. Hoping for an opportunity, we politely asked the same staff member if we could see a puppy now that the team was done. Her response was dismissive: “There’s a lot more than just the transaction. I can’t let you see the puppies right now because I’m busy.”The entire experience left us feeling unwelcome. While I understand that businesses can get busy, the employee’s unprofessional demeanor and lack of customer service skills were disappointing. If this is representative of the staff’s attitude, it reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole.Although the puppies were adorable, we ultimately chose to take our business elsewhere. I recommend that this business train its staff in customer service and professionalism if they wish to retain potential customers.

Glad to have found this brick and mortar store selling healthy and happy pups! They don’t have the breed I’m looking for right now, but I was told they get new ones every week and their website is always updated. The place is very nice and clean, with a special section for families interested in adopting to play with a dog. I’m looking forward to the time they have the breed I’m looking for. I like their XO Pups Package.

My experience with XO PUPS has been nothing but a nightmare. My pup came with giardia, reverse sneezing, and an ear infection. I am highly suspicious of the check ups on these puppies because if the vets are really checking on them… how are all these issues going undetected? As soon as I got home, I noticed drainage in the ears, reverse sneezing in the mornings, and soft stools. The very next business day, I took her to their linked vet (who nearly gave my pup the wrong vaccinations and called her by the wrong name) and I havent been able to resolve her giardia for over two months despite 4 rounds of medication, and washing all the sheets, bowls, and toys everyday. I would not recommend buying your future puppy from here, as I am now having to pay out of pocket for the treatments and fecal tests (and any future GI issues) since insurances do not cover preexisting conditions. Their customer service line is also not in the slightest bit helpful.

Xo pups gets their dogs from cruel Amish puppy mills in Ohio for $600 each and sells them for 4-5k, sometimes even double that. They will not tell you the price of the dog over the phone, you have to go there in person and arrange a play date with specific dog to find out cost. If you visit here you will see all dogs living in tiny windowed spaces.Update after owner’s response**You tell everyone on here with any criticism that their review is “entirely false” ..you just copy and paste all day. I did in fact purchase a puppy from your store years ago, btw. I love him but you guys are overcharging big time. Not sure why I paid $6k to you guys for my pup when you let some people just walk in and take a dog for free like that couple did a few months back. Those thieves have yet to be arrested for that and most likely never will be.**Update: my second response after owner Jeremy’s second response:Please point out specifically what was a false statement in my review. If you call XO pups and ask for the price of any dog that is for sale, will your employees tell the price up front over the phone? What are the measurements of the windowed kennels for each dog? Ranging from approx 2x3ft for smaller pups and approx 3×4 ft for the larger pups. Which breeders do you purchase your dogs from in Ohio? Just because you have a no puppy mill pledge page on your website is not sufficient evidence to the contrary.

I purchased a mini goldendoodle from XO Pups on Friday. Upon taking him to the vet, I found out he has a Giardia parasite antigen. He’s already on 3 different medicines and it hasnt even been a week of having him home. These keep popping up like fungi. First we had Dreamy Puppy. Then My Next Puppy. Now this. Chantilly seems to be ground zero for this type of hideous business. Let me state plainly: No reputable breeders sell their puppies through pet stores. I’ll repeat it. No reputable breeders sell their puppies through pet stores. These are puppy mill puppies. Period. End of story. I have been in purebred dogs over 45 years through family friends/friends. All groups. My own GSD is from a world renowned breeder, and my own sister’s Pekinese is from 2x BIS winner at Westminster David Fitzpatrick. If you want a good purebred dog, don’t go here. They’re liars.

I walked in with my boyfriend earlier this week to happily extend our family. We were interested in getting our first puppy and so we spoke to a hispanic looking male at the front to get more information. We should’ve walked out immediately after interacting with him, because his attitude wasn’t it. It was still 3 hours, before closing and we were hoping to interact with a puppy we chose to see if we think it’s the best fit for our growing family. He told us from the beginning, that we can look around and choose any puppy to have one on one time with. There was another family in one of the private rooms playing with a puppy. Now we picked a puppy and kindly asked him if we could interact with him. He immediately declined and came up with a BS excuse. Pardon my language, but if you’re trying to get someone’s business, at least have good customer service. He brought up how the puppy we picked was one of the newer ones and that we should pick another dog, because those puppies haven’t had enough interaction time. How do you give me the option to pick any puppy and then deny us and tell us to choose another puppy that we don’t think is the best fit for our family. I told my boyfriend that we are better off leaving and taking our business else where. He was rude and didn’t seem to care at all. If you want to run a business at least have people who are nice, enthusiastic, and willing to help and be friendly. Like at least put on a fake attitude. Later on I brought up my experience to a family member and they have also had a bad experience with the same male who worked at the front. How my family member walked in and asked to interact with a puppy, but declined them because it was an hour before closing. When there were 2 other families in rooms interacting with puppies. Either way im glad they didn’t take my business or money, because we were able to finally get our new puppy for our growing family.

I bought the sweetest puppy from XO Pups. Everything went well. The facility was clean. Brendan was very knowledgeable and professional. I was there on a very busy day; yet, Brendan welcomed customers and gave them attention, while keeping an eye on the dogs. XO has warrantees etc. but I think they do all they can to make sure you get a healthy puppy

Don’t be fooled by pet stores that say they only go to USDA breeders so they’re “reputable”. USDA means little to nothing in the breeding world in regards to responsible and reputable breeding. I reviewed their breeder list. Any breeder/company breeding 5+ different breeds is absolutely a puppy mill. I saw several puppies in this store that did not look 8 weeks old and were likely taken from their mothers early to be shipped and sold to NOVA. Not to mention this store had about 30 small puppies each crammed into tiny cages and left to sit in them all day with people coming in to bang on the glass. It’s was quite disturbing. If you want a purebred go to an actual breeder who can show you the dogs parents, provide the puppies’ vet history and that of the parents and show you the conditions in which they were kept.

I’ve never been the type of person who’s said “if I could leave zero stars I would.” However, there is a first time for everything and this is the time. Buckle down because I’m coming with proof. I bought my chocolate Labrador from XO Pups on 10/13/2024 it is now 10/18/2024 as I’m writing this. Not even a week of having my 4 month old puppy, and he is on FOUR different medications. Doxycycline 100 MG to be taken once a day for two weeks. If you are not aware doxycycline is an antibiotic used to fight infections. In this case, my dog has a cough. Secondly, he is now also taking Drontal Plus 22.7 mg. Which is used to treat about 4 different kind of worms, in my puppies case he has roundworms. The third medication that he has is a flea and tick pill. This pill is to be taken once a month. His eyebrow hair was completely gone. Now I will say the store did tell me this and they provided me with the medication to treat it. It has gotten better and he has hair now. Though they disclosed this to me I still going to mention it. Lastly, my puppy had dry skin. He had to be prescribed a special shampoo to help. This shampoo is to be used twice a week. With puppies it is recommended to only give them a bath twice a month. I’m sure you can figure out why this is concerning to me. Now I have many questions. I have reviewed medical exams and no sign of worms were in this medical exam. Either someone is lying on documents or this place was neglecting this poor puppy for a little over a month? His last health exam was September 9th. I submitted a claim to the warranty establishment, Pet’s Solutions. It’s a 3rd party that they use. I made it perfectly clear that if my puppy does not get compensation for his pain and suffering, and for his neglect he got, I will come with everything I have to make sure XO Pups does not keep running they’re business. I am in contact with attorneys as well. I’m not afraid to take legal action against XO Pups for what my poor puppy is going through. I am going through all my paperwork, all the warranties, very very throughly to make sure this place gets punished to the full extent of the law. This is not right and I will not rest until my puppy gets well and gets the absolute best care he needs to get better.

This was the second place we went looking for a new pup. The first place was terrible and we figured we’d give this place a shot. They were great! Very informative and attentive and answered all of our questions without making us feel stupid by any means. The price was a little high, but to be expected at a pet store. What made it a lot easier decision was the package of items that came with our pup. That was a life and time saver, and also helped with any stress about keeping our pup on similar food. The whole experience was great and Alex and Vanessa do a great job.

This was our first time walking into XO pups, immediately we were greeted by a clean store and a knowledgeable worker named Alex. We ended up leaving the store and returning 2 times within an hour, Alex was super helpful and kind to us, so much so that a “quick browse at the puppy store” turned into us adding a new member to our new family! Alex has answered every single question we had and gave us more helpful information that we didn’t even think to ask for. And the puppy package is an ABSOLUTE LIFE SAVER, as we weren’t anticipating leaving with a puppy it was an amazing option to have! We left the store with everything we needed, our puppy, and all our questions answered. 100/10 I recommend coming to xo pups for your dog needs! Ask for Alex again he was beyond helpful!

We got our first puppy from Xo pups. The staff is really helpful and explained all details with patience . The representative is friendly cheerful guy . He answered all our questions regarding puppy medical & family history, health insurance dog training and many more. Really excited with our new addition.Highly recommend this place to get a new dog.

Jeremy was so helpful and I couldn’t have had a better experience than what XO Pups provided! He taught us so much about training the puppy and they also give you so much stuff when you buy a puppy. They are affordable as well compared to other places. They provide a warm loving environment for the puppies as well which is refreshing! You definitely won’t be disappointed with XO Pups!

We recently bought a pooshon from XO PUPS and we are so impressed by the great service we received by the staff. Vanessa was incredibly helpful and understanding as we searched for a dog that was right for us. Overall, everyone was kind and ready to answer all our questions. They also let us look at a bunch of dogs so that we could be certain about our decision. We always felt attended to, even when the store was busy. It’s clear that the staff love the dogs and care for them. 100% recommend this place if you’re looking to adopt a dog!

XO PUPS is top notch. The boutique is very clean, staff is professional, and there is not pressure to buy. The selection of puppies is a bit overwhelming if you are “window shopping” but we came with a purpose. They gave us plenty of time to get to know the puppies personality and there is zero pressure to buy. Glad we have a new addition to the family and we recommend XO PUPS if you are looking to expand your family.

We had a very positive experience with the store staff. They were very friendly and attentive even when it was busy in the store at one point. They answered all of my questions. Only a 4 instead 5 because of the high price, but I know they are competitive with other places & Terra puppy package supplies are so awesome and helpful!!. Overall we are so grateful for their help and convenience of finding our new furry family member!
